Finalists 32nd Annual Businesswoman of the Year Awards Announced
(Ottawa, March 12, 2015) In celebration of International Womens’ Day, The Women’s Business Network of Ottawa is pleased to present the finalists for the 2015 Businesswoman of the Year Awards. At the “Meet the Finalists Cocktail Reception” held at Ottawa Business Interiors keynote speaker and 2014 Businesswoman of the Year Recipient in the Professional Category Tracy Corneau delivered an inspiring address to the finalists, who were celebrated for their business achievements.
This prestigious honour has recognized the accomplishments of outstanding women in the National Capital Region since 1983. “It is our pleasure to introduce, celebrate and honour the finalists for the Businesswoman of the Year awards. The standard of excellence which is exemplified by our finalists is a testament of their efforts and to those that support them. We are inspired by each finalist and wish them every success” said Marcia Green, President of the Women’s Business Network.
A diverse selection committee pulled together from the areas of business, award sponsors and the Women’s Business Network itself have evaluated the nominees. Through this process, three finalists have been chosen in each of the three categories: Company, Entrepreneur and Professional.

Holds a senior position in, and significantly contributes to, a publicly traded or privately owned business.

About the Businesswoman of the Year Awards
For thirty‐two years, the Businesswoman of the Year Awards has been recognizing the accomplishments
of women who live, work and play an active role in a business operating within the National Capital Region.
Nominees are recommended by members of the Ottawa business community. The selection process
for finalists and Award Recipients is based on a written resumé outlining achievements in her particular
area of expertise, business acumen, examples of outstanding leadership and community engagement.
The Gala will be held on April 23rd, 2015 to celebrate the finalists and recognize the award recipients in
